rabbits

Many problematic behaviours of rabbits are an expression of normal rabbit behaviour. However, they often can be reduced or directed towards outlets that are more acceptable for you. This way rabbits become enjoyable and stressless pets.

To properly address most behavioural issues in pets a good understanding of their living situation and underlying motivations is necessary. That’s where a behavioural consultant comes in.

In my work, the well-being of the animal is central as it’s the basis for the long-term success of behavioural therapy. I work with positive methods based on an understanding of your rabbit.

When you contact me, I will ask you to fill in a detailed questionnaire concerning your rabbit and possibly submit some videos of the problem behaviour.

Afterwards, we meet in person at your home (or online if not possible) for a consultation in which I will ask more questions to get a good understanding of the whole situation. This will allow me to make a diagnosis concerning the reasons for the behaviour. At the end of the consultation, we will discuss my advice and the therapy plan that is most suitable for your and your rabbit’s needs.

Within a week I will also send you my advice in writing. A couple of weeks after the consultation, we will have a follow-up video/telephone conversation to discuss the progress of the therapy. For three months following the consultation, you can contact me if you have further questions.

If after the first contact, I conclude that the full behavioural therapy trajectory is not necessary I will suggest using my other services instead.
