Movement is not only a basic rabbit need, but it also prevents a variety of health and behavioural issues:

• It keeps skeletal and muscle systems healthy, preventing injuries caused by sudden movements or jumps

• It prevents unhealthy changes in the spine and joints

• It helps keep the digestive system moving, preventing life-threatening stasis

• It helps keep the weight healthy and therefore prevents overweight-related issues

• It helps prevent bladder sludge by mixing the urine and therefore aids the removal of the calcium crystals

• It reduces stress by increasing the release of „happiness hormones”

• It helps prevent behavioural issues caused by stress and boredom, like excessive chewing on things, apathy and stereotypic behaviours.

Do your rabbits have enough space to run (at least for part of a day)?
